What is a DBA?
How do I Schedule my DBA?
*it's a good idea to schedule the DBA in advance so that you have some time to prepare and can chose a time that works for both you and your instructor. If you wait too long, your instructor may not be available and you may have to wait, unable to progress in your course. You can not take the unit test for this unit before mastering this DBA.
**part of your grade is based on making and keeping your scheduled appointment so make sure you chose a time you are available and set a reminder for yourself about the appointment
Chemistry Unit 1 DBA Topic:
Prioritized Standard: SC1: Obtain, evaluate, and communicate information about the use of the modern atomic theory and periodic law to explain the characteristics of atoms and elements. Use the periodic table as a model to predict the relative properties of elements based on the patterns of electrons in the outermost energy level of atoms (including atomic radii, ionization energy, and electronegativity of various elements)
You should be able to explain to your instructor the trends in the periodic table including the following:
You should be able to readily use a periodic table to answer the above questions about individual or groups of atoms that your teacher gives you. You will not know what atoms your teacher will ask you to discuss and compare.
**After you schedule the DBA, please upload a BLANK DOCUMENT to the DBA assignment, so that your teacher can grade your work once the call is completed.

- A DBA is a conversation between you and your teacher where you demonstrate that you have mastered the content in question. For this DBA you will demonstrate your mastery over the trends in the periodic Table.
